Continental Farms, based in Miami since 1971, has been providing fresh-cut flowers to the wholesale floral community. With decades of experience, they have become a leading supplier of freshly cut flowers with a solid reputation for reliability and delivering the most beautiful flowers at the best value.
In order to prioritize customer satisfaction above all else and deliver Beautiful Flowers by a talented team, there was a need for a new Marketplace solution to serve their distributors.
Our team worked closely with their digital agency to develop the application for their new marketplace as a fixed-scope project.
Results:
The catalog featured bidirectional filters where users could select colors (multiple) and flowers. The selection of colors (additive) expanded the set of flowers displayed on the screen.
The catalog was fully manageable in the CMS, where content could be organized based on business needs. For example, flower categories could be arranged differently depending on business interests, and indoor flowers were intentionally sorted by color intensity. This could be adjusted in the CMS to accommodate special seasons.
The payment process was custom-designed. Payments were handled outside the application, and the API response determined whether the order was allowed or not. The shipping logic included a countdown by day for available carriers. Some of them offered special speed options to users.
