Waggit is a health and wellness monitoring application that can improve, and possibly prolong, the lives of dogs by tracking data related to their activity levels, temperature, and nutritional information. The Waggit app provides this information to dog owners through a collar that connects to the app via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
When the Waggit team contacted Mobiik, they had encountered difficulties with their software development team. In what we call a “rescue project,” our quality control engineers began testing the existing app while our software development team familiarized themselves with the codebase to build a roadmap for Waggit and agree on the next steps.
Our team worked in SCRUM format and was also responsible for project management with other external providers. Additionally, once the initial scope was completed, our team worked in KANBAN format to iterate new client requests for both mobile app development and web services, maintaining core functionality.
