Opal by International Thermodyne is a small sensor, built with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) wireless technology, and monitored through a powerful analytics panel.
The first stage involved technology developed in-house by the client using Bluetooth LE and a Raspberry Pi, which required integrating this technology and custom design into the development cycles of the Android and iOS applications.
The second stage, its current form, emerged from the limitations of these technologies, evolving into an Envoy Station with microcontrollers.
Results:
- A smooth and flexible workflow for working with custom hardware while adapting to new needs.
- An effective communication line between developers and the product owner.
- A lasting working relationship with the client.
Technologies used:
- Android
- InVision
